We aim to include a number of visits and experiences to enrich children's learning during their time at Highfield.

Below are some examples of children immersing themselves in history and geography beyond the classroom.

The Platinum Jubilee

With this year marking the milestone of Queen Elizabeth II's reign, we took a look at how Britain had changed during her time on the throne.

Each class researched why the Platinum Jubilee is a significant event. KS1 and KS2 classes then researched a different decade, gaining and understanding of what life was like at the time - and how much has changed over the course of 70 years.

Each class was invited to view the timeline display to take a journey through time from 1952 to the present day.
