Kindness Keepers
Children in UKS2 are given the opportunity to apply to be a Kindness Keeper.
There is a job description for the role and to apply children are asked to write a paragraph about why they think they would be great for the job.
Kindness Keepers 2022-23
We have 6 Year 6 Kindness keepers and we are currently recruiting Year 5 children.
The Kindness keepers were introduced to the whole school in assembly in the autumn term. They have reviewed and updated our Anti-bullying Charter and shared it with the school.
Kindness Keepers 2021-22
The Kindness Keepers had their first meeting. In this meeting they got to meet the other Kindness Keepers and they found out what the theme is for this years upcoming Anti-Bullying Week.
The theme is 'One Kind Word'. Take a look at the PowerPoint on the right to meet our new Kindness Keepers!
In our second meeting we discussed the things that they want to achieve in their role. They had so many ideas! They would like to raise some money to help create a safe space within school to relax (Peace Garden) and maybe do a plant donation in the Spring. They also liked the idea of being assigned to a class and they would like to be able to spend a few playtimes with other classes to support with friendship wobbles (but this currently depends on bubbles). As well as this they want to update the Anti-bullying charter...so watch this space! Also, they would like to develop a digital worry box that children can use when they have friendship questions.

Anti-Bullying Charter
In November, during national Anti-Bullying week (Friendship Week), the Kindness Keepers reviewed our Anti-Bullying Charter.
This is an important document and is displayed in every class as well as on the Anti-Bullying Ambassador display in the main school corridor.
