Celebrating Diwali
In November, all the classes celebrated the festival of lights, Diwali and learnt about it in different ways.
In Class 1 and 2, the children were lucky to have Ms Singh-Tari talk to the children first-hand all about Diwali and why it is celebrated. Children in Class 1 also created Rangoli patterns.
Children in Class 3 learnt about the story of Rama and Sita and reenacted this story through role play and puppets. Children in Class 8 also learnt about the story and retold it in their own way.
Learning about Judaism with Mrs Lewis
In the Spring term, children in EY and KS1 learnt about Judaism and were lucky enough to have Mrs Lewis come and talk to some of the classes about Shabbat or Hanukkah:
