science Beyond School

We love when children and families are so engaged with a subject that they want to pursue opportunities to keep learning beyond the school day. This page includes activities that can be found online and in the community to support further learning and experiences.

ONLINE

  • Science Sparks uploads awesome stuff, including the series ‘Science Tray A Day’. She’ll put a photo up in the morning of a few things you might need in a tray and you can replicate the task at home.
  •  STEM Learning has put a huge bank of stuff that is fun to carry out at home.
  • Professor Brainstorm fun home investigations  This page contains some experiments that you can do at home. You won’t need any special equipment - just yogurt pots, Pringles tubes and other bits and pieces that you can probably find easily at home.
  • Science Show Kids   Lots of interesting videos an a variety of science topics with ideas and facts for 7 to 11 year olds.
  • Science Max A great website for Upper KS2. It's fun, it's science on a large scale!   To inspire our older scientists in school - videos to watch with some super science ideas to try out at home.
