EYFS Statutory Framework
In Early Years, we follow the 'Early Years Foundation Stage'. This is a compulsory framework that all Early Years settings must follow in England. It highlights the 7 different areas of learning that children will explore during their first years at Highfield.
What are Early Learning Goals?
Early Learning Goals are the goals or targets for children to achieve at the end of their reception. year. They will be working towards these goals throughout the EYFS.

What to expect when?
It is so important to remember that children develop in different ways and at different rates. At Highfield, we strive to support all children in making sufficient progress at School, regardless of their individual needs.

Development mATTERS
Development Matters is non-statutory curriculum guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Ay Highfield, we use this document to ensure that we provide an effective early years curriculum, building on the strengths and meeting the needs of the children in our Nursery and Reception classes.
