Mrs Hartley

Hello, I'm really excited to teach you in Year 5, we are going to have a lot of fun together!

Read on to find out more about me and my interests. Maybe we have something in common or perhaps you could share some of your interests with me when we meet.

Family / Pets

I live at home with my beautiful daughter. She is 12 years old. My house is very special to me as it is next door to the house that I grew up in so I have known a lot of my neighbours since I was two years old!

I have a pet cat called Phoebe, she is very cute and has very long whiskers!

Favourite Books

When I was your age, I loved reading horror books (the scarier the better), especially if they had a little bit of mystery sprinkled on top. When I was a teenager, this love remained and also spread across to films too. I am still a big lover of reading things that make me go 'oooohhhh' and I love the book Crater Lake by Jennifer Killick because it has the perfect amount of horror and humour and is perfect for Years 5 and 6!

Hobbies

My favourite things to do are: spending time with my daughter and family,  going to the gym and lifting weights and going on nice long walks and rewarding myself with a tasty meal at the end of it. Films are a big passion of mine and I will watch any genre. I also love singing and I will try my best to not break out into song during each lesson!

Favourite Place

Ooohhh this is a hard question to answer...

I love being anywhere that is pretty/interesting so that could be a lovely walk in the countryside (I used to live in Ambleside and that was VERY pretty), watching a sunset, climbing a mountain, walking on a beach, visiting a museum or exploring a foreign country.

There is one place that I have not been to but I would absolutely love to and that is Lake Como in Italy.

Favourite Film

Gosh, this is an even harder question to answer!

Too many to list I think, but the following qualities are essential: they must have good character development, be relatable, have a good twist (or not be too predictable) and to have a good ending, whether that be happy or sad, I don't mind.

Favourite Food

 Nice and easy! Lasagne!

Favourite Team

 Manchester United!
